Went for basketball in the morning. Dragged my half dead body to JE, only managed to catch less than 5 hours of sleep as I went to Bird's house to catch the match England VS Portugal. The match suck, I fell asleep towards the end and only woke up when they had penalty kick. Only Auntie Sharon supported England and it was rather amusing as she will always cheer and scream the loudest. Sweety was running all around as usual and he even tried to steal some of our titbits. HAHA.
When I finally reached the basketball court, I was late and there were already other people playing. It was the first time where we were stuck with nothing to do but to wait. But they eventually gave us half a court. Then as we played more people, kids actually, started streaming in. We were like:
Oh shit, more people, what should we do? Should we give up the court? And we felt kinda guilty as those kids had a coach and since they have no space to play they went for a run. Then the other side of the court was overcrowding with people too. The four of us were deliberating whether or not to leave but we decided to play till Bernie comes. When she finally did come, in slippers, we played a while and unanimously opted to go to Bernie's house to play majong. The rest of the day was rather uneventful except them I met Shi Jie and Chen Zhuo at the library and we talked and gossiped a lot.
Recently I've been thinking about my future. Have you ever thought to yourself what life will be 5 years later? It's been more of worrying than imagining about my future. The thing is I really have no idea what I want to do. What's after JC? University? Why, that's so boring but isn't that where everyone goes? And if I go to a University will I go to a local one or overseas? I have post this question to my parents and they have bluntly supplied me with the answer: local if I don't get a scholarship. Thanks a lot. HAHA. Sometimes I just catch myself staring into space and wondering what it will be like few years down the road. I find that I have previously never encounter this problem as I have never really started to worry so much until, probably, now. Back in Secondary school, there wasn't much to think of. Sure, there were times when I seriously considered going to Singapore Polytechnic but deel down I know I am not brave enough to go against the norm.
Questions questions and more questions. The more I think about it the more confused and restless I get. What are the answers to Life's questions? When I look at my parents, I admire them for who they are. I hope and pray that one day I will be just like them. I guess I'll just take it one step at a time. Sometimes there's so much that I want to blog about but I just can't put words to my feelings and it's easier to blog about mundane things like playing basketball. Then I wonder if anyone really reads what I write here.
I don't have a direction, I have no aim in Life. But someone once told me that being aimless in Life could mean a Life full of excitment afterall you never know what will happen next. My Dad said to give it some time and to let nature take its course, for all you know one day you'll wake up knowing what your purpose on Earth is. I suppose I just have to be patient(more easily said than done) and to believe in myself and the people up there? =)
