Make a guess.
What the hell is that photo about. Does it look like red strings plaited up? Yeah you got that right. Continue guessing...
I went to Nan Yang Polytechnic for their graduation ceremony. I attended every single graduation ceremony as I was doing sales for this company that helps the graduates take stage photographs when they go on stage to collect their diploma and to shake hands with the GOH or the Director or some other important person. So yes I was somewhere on the left side of the stage and giving out envelopes and pink cards with an image number for each gradaute and I also did a lot of sales as we try to make people buy the package that is more expensive.
Anyway it was a good experience and I got to witness some insights as to how to run a business, although a small one. Cash is king holds only for some businesses. And cheating and lying is the only way to make it big. LOL. Not really but let's say we had to distort some facts and leave out some points so yeah we do cheat and lie. The people I work with are nice enough and they all have distinct personalities and working styles so it's really cool. I'm the youngest around but age is not an issue. I realised that some people are born to talk, sweet talk rather and they can use their mouth to get themselves rewarded, not because they are hardworking but because they can talk and make people feel good. This group of people will surely make it big in doing sales. However I don't think they will ever go beyond sales as it is unlikely they will do well in management since they don't really like to work at all! I learnt some important ideas about gaining sales, the largest amount in the shortest time. Pique interest last for a few moments and it is those critical moments that you have to capture in order to make good sales. The stall set up beside us was selling plaques for graduates of course they charge higher prices. But they didn't get as many customers simply because they weren't proactive enough. That is something they lack which ensured their downfall.
In case you were wondering, the photograph at the top of this entry is a sweet. Three sweets to be precise but I plaited it all up and ate it. Yes it was that boring during the ceremoney when VIPs were talking. Oh and I will be doing this again next week for three days at Singapore Polytechnic! So my 'contract' has been extended! More cash. LOL.
