In one more week Lent term will officially end and I welcome the Easter holidays to begin. The caveat is the exams at the end of the holidays. Recently I have been busy with school work mainly which just keeps getting harder and harder with each passing week. It doesn't help when the week just flies by. Today is Friday and it is almost Saturday in a few minutes. See how fast it is?
I don't know what else to write...
Oh the other day to my absolute horror someone stole my food. I put my food in a labeled plastic bag in the fridge and some idiots ate all my cheese and left the wrappers in the plastic bag. They took all my egg mayo too. I was horrified. I mean if you want to steal, do it discretely and don't leave a trace for me to clean up after. So I was pissed off and decided to print some pieces of paper with "STOP!!! Don't steal food. Get your own." on them and I pasted them in the kitchen. Food theft is a serious problem for every student living in halls with common kitchens. One of my friends once said that it is possible to live off eating other people's food and I can see how. But I don't buy ready to eat food so I don't get targetted much but when I do see that my milk is gone or someone has dug a hole in my butter, I just feel a sense of injustice. But I forgive you who stole my food. You were probably drunk.
The amazing thing about London is how you get to meet people from all over the world with different experiences. After spending almost 5 months in London, I can only say that London is a city you either love or hate. Luckily I love it. I enjoy walking along the streets at night and just enjoying the surrealness of this place called London. How different cultures fuse together and how the old and new meet and where opposites and ironies and contrasts come together to form a complete and beautiful picture.
I can see the attraction of this place yet it is here where one needs to guard one's heart and mind and soul more than ever. Wherever I turn I am surrounded and engulf by the many idols of this world all concentrated in this city. But greater things are yet to come and greater things are yet to be done in this city!
This summer holiday I plan to travel around Europe with some of my hall mates! Looking forward to it a lot. The weather is getting warmer and we are having a picnic tomorrow. My weekends are always packed. To the point that I have to reject certain things that I now regret rejecting. But everything in its time.
I need to book my flight back home soon.. once I know my exam timetable.
Need to sleep now.
